History Underwater: My Wreck Dive Experience with Amadive.|Diving a Sunken Ship in Con Dao: My Wreck Dive with the Amadive Team.|Con Dao's Sunken Secret: My Wreck Dive with Amadive Con Dao.
When I planned my dive trip to Con Dao, Vietnam, I was picturing vibrant reefs. And don't get me wrong, they were amazing. But I discovered something on the Amadive itinerary: **Wreck Diving**. My heart leaped. This was more than a standard reef dive; this was journey into the past.
I have to admit, I was a bit a little apprehensive. Wreck diving is serious business. But the crew at **Amadive Con Dao Dive Center** was incredible. The Divemasters gave us an excellent safety briefing. We discussed our safety procedures, the history of the sunken ship, and what we would see. The fact we read more were in a small group instantly made me feel confident.
Going down was magical. First, it was just a dark shape in the distance, and then the wreck came into view. It was enormous. It's now a bustling new home, covered in corals and teeming with marine life. I spotted big groupers hiding from the hull, and lionfish hiding in the cracks. The feeling of swimming next to this giant, silent structure is hard to describe—haunting, beautiful, and humbling at the same time. It truly is a time capsule on the seabed.
For any an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and looking for an adventure beyond the usual reef dive, I cannot recommend this **dive** enough. It was the absolute highlight of my Vietnam trip. A massive shout-out to the **Amadive** team for their professionalism and for making this unforgettable experience so memorable.
